Spell/Trap Limit
Can I activate another Spell/Trap if the first one was negated?
Example: Any Spell, Solumn Judgement and another Spell
Possible rulings:
- Yes
- No
- If the activation is negated, yes. If the effect is negated, no.
Quick-Play Spells
Do cards that interact with Normal Spells interact with Quick-Play Spells too?
Example:
Dark Balter the
Terrible
Possible rulings:
- Quick-Play Spells are Spell Speed 1 but not Normal Spells (similar to Ritual Spells)
- Quick-Play Spells are treated as Normal Spells
How do cards that list "Quick-Play spells" work?
Example:
Invader of Darkness
Note: This ruling is influenced by the decision of the previous one.
Possible Rulings:
- They don't
- They work just like normal
- They work on normal spells now
Effects related with Tribute Summoning
Effect allows to optionally tribute more than necessary
Example:
Moisture Creature
Possible rulings:
- Tributing is not allowed therefore it is not possible to meet the activation requirement
- "Tribute X" turns into "Tribute 0", effect triggers always
- Monster can be Normal Summoned without activating the effect but also be Tribute Summoned
with the
specified amount of tributes to trigger their effect (some members in #junior-format use this
ruling)
Effect activates when a monster is Tribute Summoned
Example: Monarchs
Possible rulings:
- Monsters are Normal Summoned, not Tribute Summoned, therefore their effects can not be
activated
- Effect is activated on Normal Summon
- Monster can either be Normal Summoned without effect or Tribute Summoned with effect
Effect text requires a specific amount or type of Tributes
Examples:
Obelisk the
Tormentor,
Victory
Dragon
Note: Victory Dragon should maybe be differently ruled or completely banned.
Possible rulings:
- Monster can not be summoned at all because tributing for Normal/Tribute Summon is not
possible
- Monster can be Normal Summoned without any Tributes
- Monster must be Tribute Summoned with Tributes
